Hi all. Having one problem after another at the moment, as soon as I fix one I get another! new coil pack, exhaust then rear suspension, each problem one after another! Crying or Very sad

I now have a rattle that I can't tell where it's coming from. All I know is it's a rattle that is constant, and increases in speed (mph not engine speed)

It disappears on occasion when accelerating, but disappears completely when braking, as soon as I lift off the brakes it starts again.

Please can someone give me some pointers, don't think I can afford to go back to the garage yet.

Many thanks,

Dan

Wild guess something to do with ya brakes ???
Could be the pads not returning into the calipers ??

I'm sure someone else will be along shortly with a better idea ! Lol

Took it out again and can tell its coming more from the left and possibly front so could well be the brakes. (I hope so)

I get the brakepads squeak when not braking (regardless acceleration or not), as soon as the brakes warmup (few minutes into driving)

Sometimes there is also a thunking noise, once every wheel's revolution. (is your rattle sounding like a caliper against alloy spokes)?

Have you changed your brake pads+discs recently, so the caliper maybe sitting out by a bit too far?
Doublecheck your wheel bolts are tight and there is no play in the suspension, as well as have you got any aftermarket alloys with a too-tight offset?
