I'm trying to use pp2000 to get the ecu to learn a new key.
When I get to the part where you insert a key to be learned, I get an error message "switching on of the ignition not detected".
From there, neither the original nor the new keys work.
I managed to get the car to start again, by putting the ecu into "customer mode".
Any suggestions? I really don't want to brick the car just by trying to code a new key.

Sometimes key programming with a cheap chinese PP2000 clone have proven to be wonky at best.
I once resorted to the Lexia kit (also a clone) and pretended the 206 to be a Citroën C2 - that gotten the keys programmed
