My 2005 Peugeot 206SW 1.6 16V
Has some trouble with the airbag.

When starting the car shuts off the passenger airbag.
When reading out using Peugeot planet I get:

"Airbag ECU The ECU has not replied"

all other ECU's are fine and can be read and configured.

Looking it up on the internet i found that pin 13 from the OBD is for the airbag reading but in my car there is no pin on pin 13.

Is it true that the Airbag ECU is read through pin 13 from the OBD? Can anyone check if they have a pin 13 on their OBD?

Can i change the Autoliv Airbag ECU for one that has the same part number: (603 20 12 00)

What more is there to check to get the Airbag ECU to respond?
Where is the airbag connected to the BSI what plug to check there?

It did also come up with Engine ECU permanent fault Clutch pedal switch signal. When looking to check this signal in diagnosis parameters it is nowhere to be found / shown? The switch itself is working fine.

Thanks!

Multiplexed systems have OBD pin 11 (non-muxed have 13th) as per this link, and I can confirm there is no pin 13 on our 2007 CC 1.6 16v (pin 11 exists, and PP2000 comms with the Airbag ECU fine).

Check all the connections albeit carefully as described here.

Airbag ECU also talks to the BSI via CAN bus (a twisted pair of cables).
If you source another ECU, it may be misconfigured (e.g. donor vehicle had a different set of airbags in there), and thus will throw other faults until rectified - as per this post.

Ok.
I found my way to the Peugeot schematics and got them working after some struggeling.
I also found a pair of ECU's which are the same part number as the one in my car (603 20 12 00). (206SW with dash and side/curtain airbags)
The other cars have a different part number.

I also found that the pin 13 is missing on the OBD in all of those "donor" cars.

Next thing to do:

Measure the supply pins on the 50 pin airbag ECU connector (12V and GND)
Measure the data lines (CAN) from the airbag ECU to the BSI. I think i saw there are 2 pairs of 2.

If these are both ok i will exchange the airbag module for another one and hopefully get it to work.

I also found in he wiring diagrams there is a F16 fuse and a connection point somewhere under the floormat on the left side (LHD). I will only check this if i do not have supply on the airbag ECU pin.

Small update

- Replaced the Airbag ECU connected the battery and all is working fine now. Seems to be a dead Airbag ECU.

- replaced the clutch switch, all through the "old' switch was measuring fine with a multimeter, this permanent clutch switch error is gone too.

Now i'm working to get cruise to work, but that's a small chance to get it to work.

So another update.
Installed the Cruise Stalk.
Checked the Brake switch if it is a 4 pinned connector
Checked the Clutch switch (Red 2 pin)

Enabled the Cruise in the BSI (option 1 without limiter)
Enabled the Cruise in the Engine ECU
Enabled the Clutch Switch in the Engine ECU (Don't forget this one!!)

Tried to enable the Cruise option in the instrument cluster but this one came up with an error and cannot be programmed.

Did a test drive to 70km/h and at least 4th gear, en Voila it is working!!!! YEAH

In my last 1.4hdi i did exactly the same.. but no function at all..
