Hi pug fans. My 206 2.0 HDI will turn over but not start. The low pressure pump is not whirring and I am getting an imobilser fault message.

When this happened before it turned out to be a oxidised pin connection going to the engine compartment fusebox. I have replaced the BSM 3 unit however the relevant female pin on the 16 way loom connector is also suspect.

I have been trying for weeks, without succes, to pepin the dodgy terminal using a set of blades and probes from fleabay, I know the terminals should pull out from the cable entry side but as much asI try too disengage the locking barbs using various tools they wires just wont release

Has anyone succesfully pepinned one of the devilish connectors? If so how and what did you use?

Thanks in advance

You got a picture of the connector in question?

You have tried plenty of electrical contact cleaner spray in to the connector to clean it?

I had this on my 2.0 HDi years ago, i changed the engine fuse board 3 times as the pin for the fuel pump relay kept doing the same thing as yours. On the third change i part ex'd.

Thanks further the suggestions guys. A local friendly auto electrician mehow to do it. It is a little fiddly but I I will try and post a guide on here.

Unfortunately, a replacement BSM3 and repairedloom connector has not cured the problem. My attention has now turned to the duel relay but I cannot locate it under the ECU? The ECU is an EDC15.

The other thing I have noticed is the MFD is dimming. Which kind of makes methink I may have a dodgy earth somewhere.
