I've just got my 4 door 2005 auto back on the road after being unused for about a year.
It flew through the MOT and everything works apart from the central locking which has packed up but was working fine before the lay up. Whilst I'm not too bothered about having to lock/unlock the doors manually it also means the tailgate can't be locked/unlocked.
~I've tested the tailgate actuator on the bench and it works ok, moving the plastic block from lock to unlock position and vice versa when you reverse the polarity.
~If you leave the actuator in the position where the handle will open the tailgate, locking the drivers door will lock the boot, i.e handle won't open the tailgate. But it then refuses to unlock.
~The 2 wires that connect to the actuator via a plug seem to only get voltage on the 'lock' side
~None of the other doors lock or unlock with the key.
Any ideas of what to try next to fix this please anyone? As this is a real pain in the a**e!
