206info Buxton Summer Site Meeting Site Meet
Hello everyone,

We’re fast approaching the summer site meeting and it’s time to get booking yourself a place in the festivities!

Where will it be?
At the Cold springs campsite in Buxton, Derbyshire
When will it be?
From Friday 30th July till Sunday 1st August.

The 206info summer site meeting has been an event on our calendar for a few years now. It boasts members travelling from the most southern parts of England right up to Scotland to participate in a weekend of meeting other members from across the UK and more importantly just have summer fun!

Itinerary

This is a family meeting, however the Friday will not really be suitable for children. The Friday night will consist of arriving at the campsite, setting up tents, getting a shower if necessary, changed then heading out for dinner and a wild night on the town.

The Saturday will first and foremost entail sobering up. Then the campers will head into Buxton for some breakfast, or bring something yourself if you wish. We will then need to wait for the others to arrive to join in the festivities. There will be a barbeque on this night which will be bought in from Buxton on the Saturday but you may bring your own specialist cuisine!

Sunday will involve cleaning up any mess from the night before, packing up the tents and saying your goodbyes until next year.

Please note that there will be other people staying at this camp site so if everyone could behave well and keep the noise down they may let us back next year once again.

Booking information

More information about the weekend and details on how to book can be found here:
206info details and discussions thread

The camp site itself can be found here:
Camp Site Web Page

We hope you come and join us on this great weekend!
Happy camping!

Regards,

206info exchange staff.

FCS 2010 Anniversary Site News

Info’s largest meet of the year turned out great! The sun shone down on rockingham (well most of the day) and upon our largest meet of the year . 105 cars booked to fill our stand with 206’s from around the country we even had a member from Denmark. Maybe not the largest stand but thanks to the cooperation from all who attended, we managed to get the cars onto it twice in one day the second time was a bit more ecletic maybe.

Thanks goes to all who contributed and helped out with the BBQ’s on the day your efforts are a great part of the community spirit hopefully enjoyed by all there on the day, If you didn’t try the chicken you missed out.

There was a great diversity of 206’s attending all with their own style and individuality but when they all came together on the parade lap our unity shone through to make it the most enjoybale show or 206info meet I have ever attended.

Special thanks to so many Mikey for organising the stand Ant and Stuart for organising the catering Mark for organsing the show and well to everyone who came, contributed and turned up supported 206info at FCS this year, I just hope that everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.

Welcome Back to 206info Site News

A New Start

Most of you will be aware that the site was offline for several weeks. Our previous host suffered a catastrophic system failure and wiped the entire site, including backups. Everything was lost, so the site you see here today is an entirely new one. While it may look the same as before, it has actually all been remade from scratch.

What happened to my account?

Unfortunately everything was lost, including all user accounts, all forum information (topics and posts) and all other related information (garage entries, map locations etc). You will need to sign up again with a fresh account.

We recommend using the same username that you used previously, to help other members know who you were.

What happens now?

While we’ve all been hard at work to get 206info open again for you all, the real test comes in the following months – we need to repopulate the forum with useful information – and we need your help!

What about all of the knowledge and resources the site had?

While the old 206info as we know it is gone, we have put a plan in place since the site went down to save as much of the information as possible.

And Finally…

In short, what happened to 206info in January 2010 is, in fairness, pretty crap. The site had been running on the old servers for 5 years, and had nearly 16,000 members. That’s not something you can fix overnight when it disappears. I know it won’t be an easy task to get 206info back on its feet, but I hope with your help that it does.

Its good to be back… happy posting!
