little update

one step closer to paint

first of all we poly primed the repair areas of the car using lesonal polyester spray primer

 


 


then the whole car is re blocked using 240g paper then 320g

then 3 coats ok 2k primer is used to seal everything up

 


 


 


 



so tommorow we will sand the primer with 320 then 500 then 800

then il go pick up the paint when i finally decide on a colour lol

well not realy a big update but got a gti rear bumper from the scrappie for £20 with rub strip so decided to use that ....

both towing eye and exhaust cut out plastic welded

 


 


not a busy week this week so we will defo have paint Laughing Laughing Laughing

well we have paint
after all my thoughts of colour ..............
and thinking what the hell would a van suit ...........
then we had panels from an audi r8 man ..i fell in love

so on the phone and ordered 4ltrs of ibis white mmmm

some pics


 


 

 



 


five coats later and baked up we have a white car

 


 



then left for a day and dome some detail work

through all my greys /silvers/blacks and xirralics into a pot and mixed and sprayed the roof with a true one off colour

 


bonnet taped off and sprayed same

 


also done rub strips /handles/bumper strips and gutter trims

few pics of it cleared

 


 


 


also weded up the exhast system too

all in place for good

love the colours and consept. would have sprayed entire bonnet if it was mine tho......

still got front lights to tint black
rear lights pure red
full flaten and polish on the full car
wax oil inside new panels
and soooo much more just not enough hours in a day lol

well been busy sanding then sanding then sanding then compounding then polishing then finishing

so heres the pics

first of all we cut the car with meguires 1500 grit paper then 2000 grit then trizact3000 grit on the da

left us looking like

 


few passes with meguires 105 compound

 


then over again the meguires 205 polish

 




the final finish with menzerna 203s polish/finishing pad

 



 


and the rest of the car got the same

 


 

 


quick was and checked out in the sun light for swirls etc

all good as you can see the reflections Laughing

 


door strips on and polished
 


just need to nip to eccose get a grille ...and get the wheels done and i finally have myself a works van lol

quite a change from the old batalax

but found they were a wee bit close

 


so there away to the machine shop to get 10mm taken from the hub of the wheel then they will get some paint too

206 look 1.4 grey 07 reg spoke 17 "wheels sp wheel arch extentions,lexus rear lights morette front lights, tinted front and back windows
