Oh the 4pot always squeel if they aren't running the 302mm disks. It's a known problem with them. You can try the shims that are available for them and see if they do anything...I know Misty do some on the Evo 4pots.

How do I get to run 302mm discs? What's involved?
What do the shims look like? Any links?

I think you need to have a custom braket made to be able to run the 302 discs.

The shims look like the ones in the middle of the pic below;

4Pot Shims

But they will be for the 4pot calipers and slot-in inbetween the pad backing and the caliper pistons.

Or you could just put some of the rubber damping pads on the back? Surprised

Does that stop the squeeling? What cures the increased pedal travel?

I did mine the other day - squealed like feck, rubber liners between the pad and piston damp the oscillations which create the noise.

With 4 pots - nothing, other than adding/changing a level I can imagine.

Lever*

!! If you change the ratio of the lever I can imagine it'll give a different feel, but I'm not sure how different that is on a 206 really... Surprised

I can imagine the pedal runs off a lever that either increases or reduces the force you need to apply, but makes it easier. The longer the travel the easier it will be to push down and lock up, the shorter the travel for the same force on the lever, the more force your foot needs to put down, and the harder it will be to lock them fully up.

Not impressed with them if I'm honest!

I think replacing the master cylinder would be smart. Mine squeal as well, but I think the most squeal comes from back pads and handbrake Smile
