Update:

Right.... I know I have been slow on this one but Ive finally got out there today to start on our lovely 205! Very Happy

Started but getting off the broken bumper which I did and much to my relief the lower valance is A-ok! Very Happy

However im a little concerned with the amount of rust around the fan housing Neutral

 


 


 


 


 


 


 



Picking head bolts up tomorrow and ordered new indicator off ebay today, almost have all the parts now! Very Happy

Almost time to crack on! Cool

That rust doesnt look to good mate :/

Headlamp panels always rust, buy geniune replacements as the patterns from hadrians are a s**t fit.

How you getting on with the rust? what is the rest of the car like, solid? drivers side looks worse affected, i think you could probably 'patch' the other side. How you find getting the bumper off mine was a right b**ch!

The bumper surprisingly wasnt too much hassle Very Happy

Whats the replacement panel called?

Head bolts arrived today as well... gonna crack on on saturday now! Very Happy

Update:

Indicator and headbolts are here now, just tensioner, front bumper and associated clips to buy now Smile

Headlamp panel is the replacement part name, with the bottom bar between each side being a cross member.

Think it only costs like £100.

It wont be structural unless its gone a far way back towards the strut tops. Just cut out and plate the areas if its rusted on the chassis rail near the front.

I did overtime instead to afford all the bumper and trim fixing kits because they cost a bloody fortune. Neutral

nothing in the local scrapy?, i think the trim bits cost a fair abit as they lose there shape well easy! why the new head bolts???

I got new headbolts because I was told that they were stretch bolts and could be used once only.

They were only like £16 anyway so not a biggie! Smile

The trim fitting kit (clips) are £33 per side Shocked
