42, 62 or 81quid from eurocarparts so 78 looks expensive to me lol

Cheers for the input - I see you are as chirpy as usual Colin. Whilst I appreciate servicing isnt rocket science, you still need time to do it, and I just dont have that or inclination to change oil, filter, fuel filter, tighten stuff up, flush the systems, inspect everything etc as I have already explained.
I also explained why I had to have the work done where I did. Your opinion of them using a 'nasty' pattern part is just that - an opinion. Regardless of price, any future owner is going to know its had a decent specialist service, a thorough professional inspection and replacement of critical parts.
I fail to see how any of this is detrimental to a sale, as opposed to some back yard DIY maintenance.

wow you do make a service sound like a lot of work.if your happy with your specialists using the cheapest parts they can find good luck to you,part of doing it yourself is knowing what parts,fluids etc you have used.you don't even have spark plugs to change on your diesel,would be serviced in less than 1 hour.cheap wishbones are not worth the labor to do twice.but hey.

oh lol somebody doesn't know about 206's xD
no matter what wishbones you put on the 206 eats them with admirable gusto everytime.
especially when you have the heavier motors in, my 206 loved the wish bones i got put in a year down the line and it had destroyed two!
but aslo when people say they dont have time then they just don't. i'm a heavy machinery mechanic and i can easily do my wishbones, but i put the old girl into a garage as with being at work constantly or doing something else i physically couldn't get round to it (not having a 2 post lift didn't help either )

Thats good to know cheers mate. I see your place has a good rep on PistonHeads too. I will defo keep you in mind for the future regardless of car, as ive already had the work on this thread done.

Im sitting on the fence with this one. I do actually drive exceptionally carefully to try and miss the majority of pot holes and craters but I do drive the car pretty hard. Think this is the 2nd one, Pug did the first one.

I fail to see how any of this is detrimental to a sale, as opposed to some back yard DIY maintenance.[/quote the work needed on your car is far from specialist,cheap lower arms are just that,nasty copies made to a price.most if not all independent garages probably use the cheapest parts they can source,giving the impression the 206 eats lower arms.i would not recommend anyone use the cheap rubbish available if you plan on keeping your car.my backyard diy maintenance efforts mean i don't have to moan about expensive service costs and don't use crap parts.yours chirpily.

Really?! I find that hard to believe.
It took myself and a qualified mechanic 3 hours since they would not budge and the driveshafts had to be removed too.

the drive shaft is one nut,and i was allowing for that in my estimated time,granted i struggled the first time i did this job,but like i said iam far from a qualified mechanic.i stand by my statement of 1hour give or take a few mins.as for not budging one smack of 4 pound club hammer = seconds.the drive shaft does not have to be removed.
