Hey guys, I just bought a GTI 138 Center Console + 4 Chrome Vents, GTI Handbrake with alloy Button, GTI Gear Knob, GTI Alloy Handles, and also GTI Pedals.
I am pretty satisfied with the purchase, the majority of the items show general wear and tear obviously, however that isn't what I'm worried about.
Here are a few of my issues:
- The center console looks different from the one I have, it isn't 'squared off' and it has holes in it, does this affect me in any way? - The holes and the square thing?:

- I got given the whole gear stick, so it has the gaiter and everything, what on earth do i do with all that crap to fit it/how on earth do i fit it?!
Piccies:
- The Pedals, on the whole they are in good nick, but how on earth do you clean these? Scouring pad? I can't get anything out (admittedly only using water and a sponge), also most of the rubbers are worn down flat, what can I do about this? - Lastly, it came as you can see with the whole pedal arm and everything, does this make it a lot easier to fit or harder? - Of course I can just unbolt them, but out of the many ways of fitting gti pedals, what is the best/easiest/hopefully requring no drilling!! (Im hoping maybe this will be a solution rather than a waste!
- Lastly, the handbrake, dont worry no long explantion here, just wondering how to fit it, and if thee are any how to's out there!
I think that is it, i just want to thank you for reading this first of all, and thank you for (hopefully) replying with just as much detail as I posted in (Also Sorry for that lol)

Hi there
the fascia the two holes are for mounting it thats whats on my van ,
The gearstick is no problem to fit in a oner four bolts ubder console then one 10mm bolt underneath car,
then remove the pin and release from gearshift bar !!!
Not sure about pedals but would imagine would be easier to fit hole arms no drilling etc
Handbrake also easy just remove plastic centre console and all nuts will be underneath
do at same time as gearstick !!!

to clean the pedals use a low grit abrasive then go up in stages till you get a good shine probably finish at about 4000 for perfect shine

- What do you mean mounting it? - I may not use it if it just complicates things, this was all bought as a set you see.
- So its easy then, that (im hoping) is a relief, but again, I don't just want to go cracking things open without knowing how, and thats kinda vague, thats the thing, this site doesn't really cater for noobs lol, all you guys are just way too smart. - I liked CD-206GTI's how to on removing the center console, that way it wasn't just text and me faffing about with it.
- Pedals, hmmn, still not sure.... as again, its kinda vague.
- Again same thing
Cheers mate though, thats helped a lot as its made it seem really simple, but I don't know where Im supposed to get clear and concise instructions from really (for a noob that is)

Whats that in nooblish? (As in detailed, slow, retarded instructions??)
Also, what about the rubber bits?

fitting i wouldnt know sorry mine came with them. i woukld have thought you could unscrew them and fit to yours the same way?
cleaning them i use whats called "abralon" its sand paper but on a sponge back so easy to use in lil bits like between the rubber bits. start with it damp and a low grit like 180 or 240 then move up to 500 then 1500 then 2000 etc etc
the higher the number the smaller the "scratches" left behind/better the finish or shine.

Ok, cheers for that mate, ill refer back to this when i come to cleanign them, but im going to have to sort out the worn down rubbers, and how to fit the darn thigns LOL

To fit the gear knob you have to pull it REALLY hard.
Just be careful you don't break your jaw! 
The pedals bolt on, undo the bolts, the rubber will go 'slack' and you ought to be able to polish them if you wish.
I've never polished mine and they look fine. *I think* you pull off the rubber from your current pedals, but I'm not 100%
I remember someone having trouble.
The hand-brake cover pulls off and you slip on the GTi one.

Cheers mate for that,
- Gear knob - Would there still be pulling involved as I have the whole thing, whats easier to unbolt x y and z, or to pull the new gear knob off the pole and shove it on the car one?
- Pedals - I know they bolt on, but that requires drilling, its not something im too keen on, but you never know, was just wondering as I have all 3 arms as well, would that not make it easier somehow? - Also is there anyway to fit the pedals without drilling?
When I talk about rubber, I meant the little round rubber circles, they are quite worn, i think i recall someone having a similar problem.

It'll give better advice.
