Heavy compared to what? A Citroen 2CV?
Well whoever told you that better buy every single Saxo and Peugeot 106 that's on sale because you won't get many lighter cars than the 206!

Well the standard cars feel completely different the Gti doesn't handle any were near the same as the 180 as for straight line power the gti will keep up through 1st and 2nd but when you hit 3rd in the 180...bye bye gti..then there are the better seats and trim in the 180 over the 140 all in all its a better car but you pay more for it. I would say it is defiantly in a different league to the Gti as a standard car.

I don't think there is a massive difference between the two but the 180 is of course the nicer out of the two models.
I think the ARB is only 2mm thicker on the 180 and then of course the VVT and exhaust system.
The trim on the 180 is a bit nicer with all the CC'd bits and spoiler as standard too.
One thing to remember is because it is virtually the same engine and the 180 is tuned a bit more, you have to rev it higher to get the full power compared to the 138. To me, that makes the 138 more drivable around town.
I'm not sure why you think a 206 is heavy though mate??
I still don't think a 180 warrants the extra money over a gti, hence why I bought a gti (the difference at the time was around 3 grand) BUT you can pick up a 180 now quite cheaply.
But a gti would be cheaper still......

Different gears, different steering, shorter gearlever, as well as everything else you've mentioned.
It is worth the extra - it is much more focussed, a real driving machine. It is the car the GTi 138 should have been - a car to replace the 205 GTi 1.9.
The GTi is ONLY a 206 with a 2-litre engine, the 180 is so much more (and I have owned both)

I got bored of typing out differences but yeah I do agree with my Burberry clad friend above ![Smile Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)
The 180 is definately what the 138 should have been.
I guess it depends on how much you want to spend.
Much love

The difference between them is.... I love the 180 because:
a: it's mine
b: all my mates called the 206 a girls car before they took a ride in mine
c: one of my mates is actually considering getting one because of it
d: I can drive it calmly and get almost 400 miles out of a tank (true story)
e: I can drive it like a knob and make a BMW 3 series look like more of a knob
f: It's nearly always underestimated (yes Mr Fiesta ST that was a 206 that made you look silly)
g: I think it's looks ace even before any visual mods
h: It sounds lovely and feels lovely to drive
Facts and figures are boring... But the above is just my opinion (and remember opinions are never wrong) ![Laughing Laughing](images/smiles/icon_lol.gif)
