Where are you insuring this 924? Adrian Flux laughed in my face. I phoned them as soon as I saw that gold-924 ad.

I'm with Chaucer classic car insurance. You got to go with dedicated classic insurance. Sky and Heritage are good too. Heritage offer a 15% discount to members of the Porsche 924 owners club.

If you thinking buying let me know and I'll go over the list of common problems with you.

The interior is fantastically retro. Cool

I doubt it'll ever be concourse, but it'll be a good clean example by the summer time all being well.

Update - Some bint has just reversed into the car in the works carpark. She's knocked the front bumper in - and then drove off. Luckily a couple of witnesses got her reg plate. Sad

Dislike these cars, got one at the workshop currently.

Id make sure the scuttle drain (looking at the bay top left) is clear, under the battery isnt rusted through and the same under the spare wheel, looks like surface rust but soon turns out its all the way through.

Goodluck with it!

206 1400 8v HDi, Battle Bus - More Radical than Peugeot
205 1600 8v GTi, Track Toy Trauma, PatcHes - Driving again after 10 years since it was last on the road!
205 1600 8v GTi, The One and Only, FuDGe - Off the road again. Need to finish PatcHes first!
307 2000 16v XSi HDi - Comfy Cruiser

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Quite a lot don't like them, it's one of them kind of cars, but they are so fun to drive and quite practicle too.

Yeah all drains have been cleaned and battery tray is in tip-top condition. The battery tray can be a bugger if it leaks as the fuse box is directly underneith. That was checked before I parted cash.

I stopped at the police station on the way home from work and reported her for bumping into me. At the moment it just looks like cosmetic damage with a misaligned bumper and a scuff on the front. It was going into the bodyshop at some point anyway, so I'll get it all done at the same time.
