I had a decat on my N/A 206 GTi.
It sounded a bit throatier but gains were minimal or none.
IIRC a decat is only beneficial on a turbo'd car where you don't need back pressure.

rich it was for the mods Wink lol as de-cat are not road legal.

never really wanted a decat due to hassle come mot time. would standard be sufficient?

That answers a few things then.

De-cat on my car is not worth it, I suspected that, but needed to be clarified.

What are you referring to? De-cat and manifold? Or sports cat.
