If it was a Sundance Yellow 106 GTi then Yes Razz

^^ Looks well better than any 206 GTi 138 anyday!!

I also think the the shape of the 106 is better than the 206, lower down and looks meaner than the tall pouncy looking 206 Laughing

I disagree mattie i think the 206 is so much better looking inside and out although i bet the 106 is more fun to drive but the 206 is a better car.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Razz

I'd only say the 206 was better if it had a wider exhaust cut out dual exhaust and a 180 badge Wink

I na straight line they are pretty much identical. Round the corners the 106 is faster than the 180 (Autocar proven - Handling Day 2003).
For everyday use I'd definately go for the more modern, more comfortable, more refined and safer 206.

2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

Having had an 03 saxo vtr (I know, I know..) a few cars before my 136 gti which was crashed into and written off, I would never trust my life to a 106/saxo again, low speed crash left me seriously damaged, roof rippled, rear axle nearly snapped it bent so much. 206 has 4 ncap stars, does similar mpg day to day and is still great fun to drive when you gert a hoon on, and you can fling it around like a ragdoll just as much as a standard saxo/106. As a daily there is no comparison, safety and comfort with a similar driving experience (steering isnt as good on the 206 imho but it's still nearly as good to drive) win every time.
