Sold my 206 only 3 weeks ago now and have bought a Seat Altea. Changed to due to having our first child and need more room for camping equipment. I loved the 206 dearly and took great care with her (even if a rock did catch my out at the summer meet) she has alot of fond memories attached. Just because she has now departed my hands doesnt stop me comming on here and helping ppl who might have problems or just general chit chat , myself and the girlfriend have met some great friends on here and wish to kee them also so just because you havnt got it doesnt mean u shouldnt be here or its a bad car most of the time with everyone they have a decent explanation of why they dont own one no more.

I'm not taking it personally, but your talking a load of tosh. People were asked, so they were told. People joining this forum don't join to rave about how good/practical/economic a 206 is! Just search Peugeot reliability in google lmgtfy.com/?q=Peugeot+reliability and its all there for you to see. Im not sure if you've noticed, but there's plenty of people on here who have moved on to different cars and are still here.

A moderator is allowed a personal opinion aren't they? Are you that naive to think the moderators must praise Peugeots until they are blue in the face?! Peugoets are notoriously worse, in terms of reliability and many other things, than several other cars out there. This is not a censorship, please remember that. Why the feck should people keep opinions of 206's to themselves!? How about you search the forums for all the posts about Peugeots cutting out, dieing or just generally being s**te.

And Peugeots for comfort? Really?! Pedals too close together, awkward seating position, plastic every where, unsupported seats (in lower spec models).

Well mate you sure took it very personally i see,and I don't know why??,you sound very mad or p**sed about this thread, and taking it very seriously,it's just a question to see why ppl are selling thier 206's in this forum, and they answered my question, and I thanked them for that, and I thank you for the link you gave me,but I'm not looking how good/practical/econmic 206 is in here, this forum is to share info about 206,and help each other, you need to be a fan of 206 too,and as I said,I don't mind that ppl move on,but if they move on from 206,so with time they will me more useful to other members, cuz they don't have 206 anymore, and they don't drive it to see what other things may happen.

About the moderator, well ofcourse he is free to say his opinion, but that is true when he is not a Moderator, because as a modertor he should praise Peugeot 206 as long her is in this forum, but if he think it's a crappy car,and he replaced it,this he must be replace with another moderator, because not only the number of threads make the one of us a moderator or 206 enthusiast, and ppl can say anything they want about 206,but I don't want them to say they sold it,he can stay in here, and like he is still own it,what is the problem in that??!!!

well I still believe that 206 and peugeot in general are very comfy and reliable, and maybe because you are a RH driver, you feel all that, and if you compare 206 with other brands from it's segment, you will see that all of them full of plastic everywhere.

Well i know the ford "KA",and I think it's like a toy or carting car,but it's for adults, and please be more poilte when you write a comment in my thread, because I'm not "talking alot of tosh",as you said everyone can say his/her personal opinon in here freely, and that what I did,and that what you did, right??, But I'm for sure not a "naive",so next time be more respectuful in what you write.

baby isnt born yet, got another 4 weeks, lol, but were prepared. i loved the pug too and still do, thankfully the new owner has sighned upto the forum and only 30 minutes away from me Smile
weve put blood sweat and tears into the pug and i wldnt give it up for anything, made brilliant freinds because off it. Couldnt fault the pug, didnt think it would be all glam and best car in the world, to be honest dont think there is one as something will always out do wat you think or know. If it was only a year or two later i wouldve loved to keep the pug but gain the altea, but with finaces and the economy at this time we wouldnt have been abel too Sad

I didn’t take it personally, I just don’t agree with what you’re saying (which is fine, we all have different opinions). I am a fan of a 206, but I’m not a member on here to share info about 206’s all the time. And no, he/she shouldn’t be forced to praise 206’s. How would you enforce that? And yes, you are genuinely a 100% bona fide naïve individual to say that you can only be on here if you love 206’s. A moderator is to moderate the site, not to kiss the 206’s ass.

but I don't want them to say they sold it,he can stay in here, and like he is still own it,what is the problem in that??!!!

If my translation skills are right, are you saying that the moderators or any other member must say that they still own a 206 if they are to stay on this site? And you’re asking me whats wrong with that?!
My google link was to evidence the crappy French build quality that every man and his dog, apart from you, seem to be aware of. I’m not going to contest the comfort of a 206 with you, we all have different opinions but I think if you asked several people you’d find more people find many other small cars comfier.

Why have you put KA in speech marks? Yes, its for adults, as usually you have to be an adult to drive a car. I was using personal experience to state that I find that particular car a hell of a lot more comfortable than my old 206. I won’t be any more or less respectable to someone who talks out their a**e and tries to tell people how to run this site, and doesn’t like the opinions of all the people that commented on his thread. Mug.

In summise, I find 206’s to be unreliable, cheap and poorly built compared to several other competitors in the market. I now own a Ford “KA” which, whilst being terribly smaller, I find a lot comfier, more frugal, cheaper on insurance and generally better put together than the 2 206’s I have owned. However, if I am to stay on this site, I must not reveal to you all why I sold my 206 incase it upsets people.

Well thank you so much for the long and detailed reply,i like this kind of replies :D,but I don't force anyone in here or anyone else to do anything,if they want to do or say something,it have to come from him/her without asking or forcing.
I'm not gonna waste my time and reply on your NAIVE comment about me being a nive "you are genuinely a 100% bona fide naïve individual" and "the crappy French build quality that every man and his dog, apart from you".
Well anyone who don't own a 206 at all, well never be usefull to this site, any with time, who had owned it for a while, and don't anymore, well not help others, because he/she don't know new things happen while it's with him/her.

I'm not trying to tell anyone how to run this site, but I can make suggestions, and if they agree or disagree it's thier site, not mine, and I put the "KA" like this, because I don't consider it a car at all, hope you are ok with this opinion about your car,it's like a toy more than a car, glad you enjoy it,and wish you good luck.
