Ok... so prepare to point the finger with shame.
Last night I went to assist a friend whos corsa's battery was flat. Hooked up the jump leads to the 1.6 206 laon car I currently have from the garage. All started brilliantly. Whilst talking for a bit afterwards, I leant in through the window to do the window up. Pressed the auto button and moved myself out the way quickly. (The engine was running at this point) because I had to mveo out the way quickly I brushed the lock thing on the door, down they went and the window was sealed. So... it's 1am and I am on a deserted road with a 206 running with heater on and no way of getting into it....
Here is the dumb part though.... I could have done one of three things.
1) Sit with the car until 8am this morning and then rang the peugeot garage and got them to send someone over with the spare key.
2) Phoned a mates Dad who is a professional mechanic and he could have used his tool to get into the car with no damage caused.
3) Of course in the panic, neither of the 2 sensible options even passed my mind. Instead, the jack tool from mates corsa went through the window. Smash of course, glass everywhere inside and out........
I got into the car but now I am left with 2 choices. Tell Peugeot the truth and pay the hefty damage fine and the cost for a new window and face not being able to have another loan car (which is a MUST for my job)
Or I could buy a used window (plenty of them on ebay) for £25 and get my mates mechanic Dad to fit it. This seems the sensible option but is their anyway peugeot could ever find out?
Now is your chance to humiliate me and give suggestions if you have them :L Living the life guys..... -.-

fix it yourself? no idea if they could find out and if they could it would probably be a long time after you gave it back in, it's not like it would be smashed I doubt they check for replaced parts

Just chuck me what you think it's worth.
Depending on where you are, if you wanna come and get it - I'll help you fit it too.

Haha, love this!
Yeah they wont know, blame it on the guy before if they suspect anything. It's a loan car after all so it's expected to be a little "used".
