Does anyone know what this is/why it's there? I found it below my ashtray today whilst hoovering... It looks like a light bulb, but I can't figure out why there'd be a light bulb under the ash tray?!
Seems to fit in like this...
I'm not worried, just wondered if anyone could shed some light ha.

it's not under the ash tray - it's to the side - and shines through a red filter so you can see where you're tipping your ash

There is a little red translucent plactic bit in the ashtray, however it likes to a fall out. The light illuminates the ashtray.

Yeah it's pretty pointless, I've taken mine out and placed translucent plastic over it so it illuminates that. It should also turn on with the sidelights

t might not light cause the bulb might have blown, check it

Yeah it does work... I guess I hadn't noticed cause I don't smoke & I hadn't opened the ash tray in the dark before ha! Thanks guys (:

found mine when i took my ash tray out. it doesn't work. change the bulb as well.
