just changed oil and filter now wont register oil on dash indicator

what do you meanw wont register oil on dash? the oil light or oil temp?

when u turn ignition on u get oil level indicator with circles but now flashes with lines signalling empty

first thing i learnt when i joined this forum was to never trust the oil sensor - mine tells me it's overflowing but it's not - the best way to check is use the dipstick
