I have had a 206 for just over a year and have had no problems whatsoever. In fact my car has been so good that in ATS Carmarthen where I had my MOT one member of staff commented what great condition my car was in.

Oh when I park and need to get it into reverse I sometime have to put it in 1st go forward a bit then put it in reverse.

Mhmm... Or you think it's in reverse, release the clutch expecting to move & you're like "wtf?!... Oh it's not actually in reverse, it just looks like it!" Has done it on both the 206's I've driven & my Boyfriend's 106 GTi is terrible for it... it never goes in reverse first time!

Worst on mine would be the exhaust.
Best part, lack of rust and plenty of grunt

Rattles and electrics, for some reason my cars interior light when set to "doors open" comes on full with doors closed, and when set to "on" is very dim and cuts the stereo off, same with the electric mirror switch, all extremely annoying but balls to it...VW next

Such a positive forum!!!
In my test drive on Thursday, it was the indicator stalks that got me. I'm sure I'll find something else once I start driving it regularly! |
The indicator stalk, yes! And also the annoying seatbelt aswell!

This.
I spent over £500 getting the bloody Airbag Fault sorted out.
Rattles would be the worst thing to be honest.
Especially when you shut the doors on a 3dr with the windows down

Fortunately rattles are supressed by the Janspeed™ in my 180
Worst thing about a 206 is the fact that insurance group 17 for a 180 is a joke!

Its just a 206
When a girl asks what car do you drive? If you say peugeot, they leave
I prefer a stick |
how do you think i feel...
"what car do you drive?"
" a 206"
"aw okay"
and then when they see it
"WHAT THE FUNK IS THAT?"
But I do have my 3.0l v6 scimitar aswell....
"ooooooooohhhhh"
not that many girls i know have anyidea what it is, but 3.0l v6 does sound impressive haha
