If you look at it you could probably work it out, or just probe with a multimeter.

The interior light has 4 wires
Constant +12v
Ignition wire
BSI earth
Earth
The door opening circuit uses the constant +12v and the bsi earth, it is the earth that activates the light. So what ever you are doing, use that as your earth

I have just done the same. Easiest was is to wire them to live on the radio (not the perm live the other one) They come on when you unlock the car then stay on until 3 mins after you lock the car.

When I wired some LED's into the door opening circuit, I just used the wires in the right-hand A pillar and spliced the wiring into them.
I checked which wires were which by pulling out the courtesy light, removing the plug and touching the LED's to the pins on the plug whilst the doors were open, then just found the same wires further down in the pillar.

If you were in the drivers seat, it would be the pillar on your right hand side.
