if the engine you guys are on about is from a type r it would rape a 180 if it was in a 206, my mate has a type r and it p**ses on my gt and the civic is alot heavier too so it wouldnt even be a contest

depends on which civic are you looking at.

EK9 definitely weight less than a 206 and could easily cut the weight below 1 ton. New civic are just big fat chick..... Laughing

Yeah we talkin 6th gen ek shape back when honda made decent engines the ek9 type rs are 185 bhp b16b engine

well im on about a 2003 type r the best one, its deffo heavy then my 206 in my opinion its longer, chunkier feels better built more solid, but it could be lighter i have no figures but from looks and feel id say the civic is heavy the old golf is much heavy then the 206 and thats the same size, anyway that engine has 200bhp and is a millioon times better then a 180 engine

no mate thats a k-series engine a k20 yeah a 2003 ep3 will be heaver

no we are on about the b-series engines much better imo

and if you think the ep civics are good you should really try s ek9 so so much better lighter better handling and most probly faster ???

dunno i just have an obsession for them after mate give me a drive, gettin to the high revs throws tyou back iin your seat, i was gunna get the special edition one with the red recaros but like a t**t i forgot id get insurance raped so i kept with 206 for time being, ill always keep the gt even when i finally get my civic

yeah the ep3 are amazing cars but really you should try a ek9 ull be even more impressed

V Tack is nothing special, it's a good idea in theory but have fun finding your torque.
I've been in Type R's and wasn't impressed. The 180 is a better car (and I'm not even fond of them any more!).

Quoting peak BHP is pointless when you don't go near it until 7k RPM...

i love 180s and i love type rs, i just love the idea of that engine in a smaller car, its different too.
