Im thinking about de-wipering my car but i dont know where to get one of them grommet plug things from, obviously you can get them off ebay but i wanted to know if somewhere like a D.I.Y store or somewhere local

As far as I know, they are a b***h to buy from local stores as they are a random size. There was a member on here selling them for £3 posted. Think it was N1ck or something like that.

Pretty sure someone on here had used a star nut from the top of a bicycle headset.

Was metal and secured with an allen key bolt.

Had a - '99 Firedance 138 GTi - Broken
Then a - '10 Corsa - Hire Car
Now a - '56 A3 2.0TDi - Current Car

I needed a grommet and my local car parts shop had a box of assorted sizes.
1.4 hdi, 206, Year..2003, 100,000 miles

Mercedes, ML270CDI, 2002, 200,000 miles

25mm isnt big enough, you need 27/28mm, i ended up getting one from a small DIY store and its a tight fit now, yeah my mates still find it funny to push it through though Laughing Rolling Eyes

I got one spare, well its not spare, I just cant find where it came from. Had my laptop bag in the boot and it was stuck on something so yanked it and one flew out. Dunno if it would fit though.
