You wouldn't want to put throttle bodies on an 04 plate GTi...would have to change the pedal set up for one that can pull a cable as they come with motorised throttle body.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

Out of curiosity, how much are throttle bodies all in (inc fitting etc) and what sort of gains do you get? What power you pushing Edward?

Ecosse claimed the car is putting out 214bhp.

You can probably get TB's with a mainstream ECU (Omex, Emerald etc) fitted and mapped for about £2,500. I've put about £7k into mine with all the various new parts such as the exhaust and manifold, carbon airbox, cams, verniers, engine mounts, Longman head, hydraulic lifters and rewiring the car and all the wiring components required to do that.

So you've seen an increase of 76bhp? That's pretty good going! So what your saying is that the same parts in a 180 wouldn't have the same benefits?

But wouldn't the initial outlay of a couple of hundred quid (for a newer car) be worth it considering you'd have the colourcoding, interior etc?

Surely the extra few quid you'd spend on a 180 with all the extras over the 138 would pale into insignificance when compared to the £7000 you've spent on upgrades?

This is what i need to know tbh,,

from experiance this week in the snow when the wheels spin the revs drop but not all the way then they splutter up and down,, i thought it may be ecu controling the rev limiter maybe.

The ESP system will control the throttle & brakes.
