Hi i am thinking of Spraying my bonnet vents silver can i just use Paint from an ordernary spray paint can ?

Yeah. It's plastic though so good idea to use etching primer or plastic primer of some sort

as said above mate. just leave enough time between coats and dont over spray. mine used to be tornado red but are now colour coded

Yours look great Sez! But yehh its really easy to do, couple coats of primer, few coats of paint then a couple of laquer. Lots of thin coats are always better than less thick coats  I was having trouble finding the temp for it to set right when its cold like this though.

Thanks :). I was too inpatient the 1st time and sprayed on more layers too quickly so had to rub them down and start again but they turned out ok and are still fine now, even the they've been pressure washed! It is very difficult to spray at this time of year, not just because of the cold temp but the condensation in the air that prevents the primer and paint from sticking properly then it reacts with the paint and all goes t.i.t.s up lol

dont remind me this time last year i did my alloys white and they reacted like a b***h!!....but as the above has said you could even lightly blow them witih a hairdryer then leave them in a warm room in the house (thats that i did with the wheels second time and mummy wasn't happy about that lol)

Lol my brother put his headlights in the oven to melt the glue holding them together so he could take them apart and spray the internals black :). We use the master bedroom to refurb and spray wheels in my house, it was converted to what we call the 'model room' because it's a waste to use it as a bedroom! Needless to say, the carpet is practically ruined from all the spray cans used in there and it stinks lol. Parents have banned us from using it now- so naturally i've given my brother 4 more wheels to refurb and spray in there ha ha
