basic question, im installing cold cathode (neon) tubes into my footwell and want them to power on and off with the interior light, ive looked at the previous guide to this on here but cannot work out the best place to tap into the wireing to achieve this.
where would be the best place to tap into the interior light wireing, its been suggested the right side a-frame? but im unsure how to get the cover off and dont currently have a haynes manual
thanks for any help in advance

Have fun trying to wire that ..
I tried wiring mine to come on when the doors open (I presume thats what you mean by when the interior light comes on).. I failed, as did ExoVyper (Si). I wired mine to every single wire going to the interior light (4 of them: orange, blue, yellow and yellow/green IIRC)
In the end I wired mine to the Ashtray light, as this only comes on with the sidelights and then added a switch, as I doubt Mr. Policeman will be happy if he saw them on whilst driving.
What to you mean by the A-frame? The A pillar inbetween the windscreen and drivers door?

haha yeh it does seem to be more hastle then i thought,
everyone seems to be going for the ashtray one, that was my plan b i thought wireing to the door switch wouldent work as its not a straight circuit, the light is controlled by computer, i.e it waits 30 seconds then fades and doesnt just go off when the doors shut.
is it easy to wire them into the ashtray light?
thanks for your help guys
p.s yeh thats what i meant by the a-frame lol

A frame AKA A Pillar just pulls out, Just catch the corner and pull.
Ashtray light ... Easy as 30minute job to get it all wired and fitted into place in footwells.

It's a piece of p**s to wire them in so when the door opens they come on, mine have been like that for over a year
It's 2 wires, inside the curt light - but you can follow the wire down the A pillar and tap in from there..
Open ze door on come ze lights.. Close the door and off they go..
Cant remember which 2 wires it was though as it was soooooo long ago that I did it
