Ive been driving my pug 1.4 lx around for the last few weeks and all has been fine untill about hour ago.
I was driving home from Elsie's when the car went down to 3 cylinders.
Ive had a look around and there are no leaks or anything hanging off.
All i can think of is the coilpack has gone down.
Any advise would be great before i smash the stupid thing up as had enough of it.

Could be the coil pack like you say, every time ive had a miss fire it's turned out to be an injector failure. Could even be a plug.
The first thing i'd do is put some water on the manifold and start the engine from cold and watch to see what part doesnt evapourate quickly to find out what cylinder isnt firing, then swap the plug from that cylinder into another and repeat to see if its the plug.
Then id borrow a coil pack off someone and see if its that, if it's not that then id bet on injector.

take the plugs out and clean them and take the leads off, with this weather alot of slush could of come up and got them wet

What leads 
For what they cost I would chuck a new set of Bosch Super Plus spark plugs in instead of trying to clean the old ones.

Well I popped to a breakers yard on my way home from work (good old M reg astra 1.4) and got a coil pack. Best bit was after waiting around nobody came to take my money so I walked. Once home I took the old unit out and fitted the new unit only to find the plug was differrant. My has a grey ug and the new one is black. Well after a quick look I could see that there was only a little bit inside stopping it from clipping together. 5 muns later and it's all fitted. The pug started first turn of the key and is now on all 4 cylinders. I'm not sure if there is any difference between the two units but it's running which is all I was worried about so will be on the look out for a coil pack with the grey plug.
