A fault in the design could make that happen but they weren't designed with a fault.

The ecu is pretty much bulletproof.

Only a Sagem coil pack / NGK spark plugs that really kill them Laughing

Only issue I know of is the silicone grease on the connectors that Peugeot used to protect the terminals, brake cleaner will remove that.

A quick look on Google and it seems like this is an issue. Some people have been saying its cost them £500 to fix!!

Did a pug garage tell you it was an ECU design fault? You should get a second opinion on it.

Was just about to add that. The connectors are also prone to moisture damage.

We used to have a whole section dedicated to the 'cut-out' problem.

May be way off but a mate had similar fault with a diesel ford focus some time back and it was the electronic accelerator pedal causing it, he said it made him feel sea sick, I know my 206SW 1.4HDi has this type of accelerator pedal.
I don\'t feel old. I don\'t feel anything until noon. Then it\'s time for my nap.

just took it to another garage for a second opinion he had a quick look and thinks its air getting in somewhere and told us to take it to another place for a diagnostics test so took it to another place for this test and come up with a sensor error where it will probly be a new sensor or a split hose or something so iv booked it in to be sorted
so if it is this thing its alot better than i thought and from now on i will always get another opinion lol
