Hi,

Looking at getting one. I don't want a loud one at all. I want something subtle.

I am on the website but its difficult to work around. Anyway, how much are they going for brand new? Do you need to go to a store?

And a question I have always wanted to know, How can you tell how loud an exhaust is before you fit it?

Thanks

JD

I went to the nearest shop and told them how I wanted it to sound and then gave me a quote, he also said if it doesn't sound how you want come back and we will change it. Also lifetime garuntee Smile

Bigger the pipe louder it will be.

I'd get an off the shelf system as they are higher quality generally.

No point using powerflow if you just want a backbox

i have a cat back system from powerflow, it has a nice tone to it but when you get a look at the pipework under the car it's not brilliant, it also set me back £340, i would probably go for janspeed if i was to ever replace it

Before you go anywhere near powerflow I have literally spent all morning sorting mine out just uploading the pics to photobucket and you will see what I mean, and it went to a specialist powerflow garage to be done! DONT DO IT lol

That's just down to the people that work at the branch you went to. Myna been on the car for 4 years now never had a single problem with it and the workmanship is second to non. When I take it back every year for it's warranty check they even polish the back box to make it shiny again.

Powerflow and other custom outfits do not use mandrel bends. So you new system could well be more restrictive that the original system.

My P'flow backbox was £120 fitted inc bumper cutting etc. Yes you have to go to a dealer they make and fit them while you wait. They can judge how loud it will be by the size of the pipes and the backbox, if you said you want it subtle they would make it subtle

I can't speak for others obviously but i was very impressed with the work it's all high quality, inc the bumper cutting and seems great value to me Thumb Up i'd definitely recommend them!

Here's mine:
