Rotary all the way! D.A. is good to start with in polishing but won't tackle the tough jobs!

Rotary for better results, DA for ease of use.

ive been reading alot of stuff about it recently, i think a DA is better for my self purely because the marks on my car arent really bad i just want to get rid of them lol. also because my car is black im very worried if i got a rotary polisher i would end up making it look worse just because thats just my luck.
Thanks for all your suggestions i let you know wot i get and maybe do before and after clean up when i decide. watch this space

If you've not got much experience with a rotary, get a DA. Far less chance of you damaging the paintwork.

seems to be said everywhere. i have no experience at all with any machine polishers so i reckon it would be safer to go with a DA like you said
