Hello Peugeot folk,
I have a 2001 1.9 diesel 206 and I've had a sort of juddering at low speeds problem with my car since I got it (2.5 years ago). I attempted to get the problem diagnosed but to cut a long story short couldn't get a diagnosis. I thought it might have been my injectors, but as I can't afford to get that problem sorted I've just lived with it.
Anyway, I've just started taking my car to a new mechanic and he noticed the problem and was concerned about it. He knows a diesel specialist who could repair the injectors quite cheaply so I agreed to let him investigate further. It turns out it's not the injectors, but the fault code P1145 came up. My mechanic and his contact don't know what it means, and apparantly a Google search doesn't enlighten them. I was wondering if anyone on here has had that fault code and what they did about it.
The mechanic gave me the fault code and has also written down the following: "Lucas DCNZ - Noise on needle lift sensor. Incoherence Lack of H025 21 Switching - Adaptive fuel at limit". That sounds like it would mean something to someone who knows about peugeots, but I am completely in the dark (and unfortunately so is my mechanic at the moment). The mechanic thought I might need to go to my local Peugeot garage (which I'd rather avoid for obvious reasons).
BTW the problem's worse in the cold and damp as you'd expect with an electrical fault.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I googles adaptive fuel limit and it came up with something about maf sensors, it won't do any harm to get it checked out

Probably the MAF sensor mate, it's very common. Try cleaning it first and re-fit it then if that doesn't work just replace it.

its the oxygen sensor that code is
check the wiring first if not its the sensor that is faulty

All of the above information is a bit red herring-ish IMO..
If you have a 1.9 diesel, it should be a DW8.
The DW8 should have a Lucas injection pump and non-electric injectors. As diesels dont have any throttle-control (fuelling is controlled, air is constant) you won't have an oxygen sensor or MAF.
Your said about 'HO2S' which is a heated oxygen sensor, so it shouldn't apply.
As far as im aware the DW8 is 99% non-electrical, so I would suggest looking at fuelling. When was your fuel filter changed last for example?
