Driving home from work tonight in my 1.4hdi, done about 15 miles when the engine light came on and "Anti Pollution Fault" came up on the display.
The car still sounded and drove normally with no loss of power.
Stopped the car switched everything off, removed the key from the ignition and locked the doors with the remote so that everything shut down.
Started the car after a couple of minutes and the fault was still there so got going and booted it up a hill and the warning light went off and stayed off for the 5 miles it took to get home.
Anybody got any idea what might have caused it?

My 2.0 Hdi did this just literally popped up with anti-pollution fault randomly at any given time but affected nothing. When was the last time it had a full service?

Yes it was serviced at the end of September.
