Could someone tell me the size of socket needed to remove the sump plug from a 2004 1.1, ive heard a few different things so could someone please confirm the correct size.

My 03 plate uses a square key.
Some have a normal hex.
Lay along the driver side front wheel with a torch stick you head under the car & have a look

Me and a friend changed the oil in my car (2002 Peugeot 206 1.1L look) and it was a 24mm nut but it looked like there could be a square nut as well but a socket set was to hand so we used that.
It took about 3L that was without taking and emptying the oil filter out i say this cause we put far to much in and had to drain it out, doh
