Has anyone else had problems fitting these? I bought LED's from eBay off a seller with 5 stars. Put them in, but the bottom contacts don't seem to touch....

Yeah ive had same problem, even tryed bending them to fit but diddnt work, seems like the only way to get different coloured dials is to solder LED's on the circuit board itself

there's a guide in the how to section

Yeah, I tried bending them too. Got a flicker of light and that was all. I'm not trying to change the colour, I just want it brighter. When I changed my dials to lockwood ones, the original dial lights don't seem to illuminate as much...NorthantsBen managed to change them successfully. I'm gonna try emailing the company and get them to send me some that will work.

A simple solution for yourself is to make the contacts longer, solder extra wire to it or solder it to the circuit board as stated above

I've looked at the how-to. Unfortunately my car's cluster isn't the same as that one and doesn't have LED's that get soldered to the board. Mine are twist look ones that get installed from the back.

See what the the eBay person says they may send you another set! If not try twisting the new set in and applying a little bit of solder in-between the contacts

But get hold of ebay sales 1st

Yeah, I've emailed them now. I was thinking of putting a blob of solder on the bottom contacts to make them a bit bigger. Got nothing to loose if they don't refund me.

Maybe put the bulbs in the original holders?

Just a thought

Sorry but as a eBay seller myself I wouldn't send you a replacement as they do work, despite what you're saying.

The problem is with you cluster not the bulbs, which do work.

s said put them in the existing holders or add a little solder.

All sorted now. I've had a fiddle round with them this morning and got them to work. The problem is that the contacts aren't very good. No two of the LED's are the same. So with a bit of bending and jiggling they now fit and work.
