Went to my car this morning, -3 degreese , turned ignition on and everything worked, the cd player, climate cotrole, wipers, lights everythign. Then as usual I tried to start the car and it wouldn't even try start, couldn't hear anything happening, after a while and a few screams at the dash board it starts, any ideas ? Didn't know If this was a feature to let somthing warm up ? Thanks in advance

Nope, brand new battery last week if it was the battery it wouldn't have started at all but it did after I left the ignition on for a while plus the 180's go into Eco mode when the battery is going low so surely it would have given me some indication the battery was low
Cheers for the reply anyway

possibly a problem with the starter solenoid or the starter itself.only way to be absolutely sure about this would be to test for voltage at the starter motor when the key is turned.
next time it happens you can also bridge the connections at the solenoid and this should crank the engine over and start it.this will indicate that there is a problem with solenoid itself.

You need to check the amperage at the starter not volts
