im getting a vibration through floor and the car pulls to the right slightly.
..my advisary on mot stated the bush had deteriated on the front lower suspension.
seems to be more noticable once i fitted the alloys.

would it be the bush gone altogether do you think , if not what else should i check?

.. id need to book it in at the local garage as im useless, any ideas as towards costs?

They should give you a estimate before any work is carried out if they are a good garage

yea wheels was balanced, if i refit my steelies , the vibration is still there but not as strong.. doesnt seem to pull over to the right as much either.

yea i know the garage would quote me before any work being done, just wondered if anyone on here had an idea what it is before i take it in.

might be bearings too, jack car up and see if wheel wobbles? if it does, get new bearings, im sure ya can change them ya self.
if it dont wobble, get ya wheels balanced again, will be cheap.
bushes are cheap but a pain to change sometimes, but ya dont need to be a mechanic to do em.ya just need a mate whose got the tools lol
a garage will charge 40-60ph, even if its just finding out whats the problem, and then they dont always get it right.
see what ya can do ya self first, will be cheaper and ya will learn more about ya car

checked for wobble a few times now, keep going back to my steelies as it feels better (lighter vibration) .. no wobble.
..will have the alloys rechecked for balance .

i would try the jobs myself, but my tools got "mislaid" by my kids Evil or Very Mad

was thinking about having the wishbones, trackrod ends , new discs and pads done at the garage in one go.
..any idea on what prices id be looking at ?

( the mech there is pretty decent and would even let me watch how its done if i wanna stay)

Had bad vibrations on mine after a trackday, got the tyres changed and balance and was the same, took it back they balanced it again, got worse, took it to a much better garage, balanced them now they are spot on, turns out the balancing machine was knackered in the first garage. As for the pull, get the tracking done. Got the wheels balanced and the tracking sorted at north eastern tyres for £50, it was the best £50 i have ever spent!
This 206 IS going on a trackday despite it's every effort to stay at home in the garage!

well i booked it in tomorrow Very Happy

mech thinks its a wheel bearing judging from my description.
(not sure how much itll cost though Crying or Very sad )

also there's a very small leak of coolant coming from the top radiator pipe at where its bolted to the engine)
seems like there's a lot of black sealant there, so perhaps a bodge repair.
hardly anything really , but prefer no leak.
easy enough to fix ?
