Yes.

Anything that didn't come with the car as standard, is a modification.

Whether the insurance company increase your premium for it is down to each company - so best check with them.

I declare everything, including the 206 Info sticker.

Well your car wasnt made with a tax disc holder on the windscreen so did you declare that as a modification? I know that sounds stupid but think of it, the car didnt come out of the factory with one.

I know how silly it sounds, but it's not a rule I made.

Stickers are something that you are supposed to tell, or at least check with the insurance company.

Ant, you don't pick up stickers like dead flies on the front of a car.

However certain Chav members may use that 'excuse' when hitting Halfords.

"I drove into a Halfords car park, and came out with this exhaust...isn't it' "

Note: I can't really type Chav, I'm totally immune to it. Rolling Eyes

I wonder why I bother with this place, 4 years and all members do is slag each other off. Even Barry Boys seems a nicer place at times...

I agree, it is strange - but I know insurance companies will use any excuse not to pay out!

Use your own discretion.

Car dealers put a sticker in 90% of rear windows of cars yes... you buy your new car, when you insure it and they say any modifications.. do you say "yes ive got an arnold clark sticker in the rear window" or not?

Obviously you are "supposed" to declare anything aftermarket, but as i say, owner discretion is needed!

EDIT: steve beat me to it!

Officially yes, you are supposed to tell the insurance company, especially if you have one of these "performance enhancing stickers"

I haven't bothered telling my insurance company about my stickers, I would only let them known about tints, if I had them.

All valid points.

So you have some options:

1) Stick on and don't tell the insurance company.

2) Check with your insurance company and then stick it on.
