Hi MrrNoName
Thanks for posting

Lee - I made a video of the startup of my 206 as I think the picture I posted might be slightly misleading

Ive noticed in the video you posted, the following lights come on when the key is turned into the second position:
STOP
What looks like Passenger Airbag
And a light next to Passenger Airbag which I cant quite make out

Please could you have a look at this video and let me know what you think?

Thanks!

That seems pretty normal, the SMD might have gone for the STOP light. But if that ever came on so would the handbrake light or the EML

Ah right.
Yea that was my initial thought...back when I thought there were bulbs in the instrument panel.
Do you know how easy they are to change? Are they soldered on?
When I took the Instrument panel off I noticed that each light has their own SMD... so would that explain the STOP light not coming on, but the Handbrake light coming on?

Also, you mentioed before that I may have an Airbag fault...
From looking at my video, do you still think this is the case?

Thanks alot Lee.

Yeah they are soldered on. Each light has its own SMD.

Nah you don't have an airbag fault, from the initial picture I thought the airbag light was staying on but from the video it goes off so its all good Smile

Phew. Thats a relief!
How prone are the SMD's to die? Have you heard of this issue happening before?

Do you think that this is the problem in this case?

Yeah they blow, they only have a lifetime like any other bulb. People change them to other colours as well.

If you are that worried, you could always get it fault code read and see if anything comes up.

Unplug the instrument cluster, give the plug a squirt of contact cleaner, connect it back up & try again.

You have warning lights on when you shouldnt have Confused

Either its a dirty connection or a loss of CAN data.

Check the wiring connectors:

On the BSI:
Black 10 way connector. Terminal 8 wire 9004 and terminal 10 wire 9005.

On the instruments:
Blue 18 way connector terminal 4 wire 9004 and terminal 2 wire 9005.

I doubt the cluster is at fault, can you get someone with Peugeot Planet to test the cluster / scan the car?
