got a 206 1.4 last year S reg great car no problems until now
the car just cuts out .I pull up turn ignition off then re start .The car starts ok but then cuts out again this can happen up to 4 / 5 times then everything is ok and I can carry on . never know when this is going to happen . Has anyone else had this problem ?? I cant work it out .

i had the same problem i still don't have any idea what is is but i changed my plugs n it didnt happen as much if thats any help lol

I had the same problem... Mine was teh idle Control valve really easy to change and cost about £50 i think

thanks for that but I have already given it a full service and still got the problems
dont know if it may be a sensor ? need to get a diagnostics on it . Will let you know the outcome.

Did you service it? or did you pay someone to.
Unless you know its been replaced i would still suggest its that.

danny. any chance you could write a guide on how to change the idle control valve? wanna do mine but would really like a step by step

I can try..
1. release the 4 bolts holding the top of the airbox down.
2. release the hose clip that connects the airbox pipe to the throttle body and remove it from teh engine bay..
3. There should now be 3 Torx screw, on the left, right and middle bottom on the throttle body undo these and this will then release the throttle body.
4. the throttle cable can then be unclipped, make sure it doesnt fly back (it shouldnt do)
5.
The one circled is the idle control valve.... This had 2 torx screws holdign iton undo these and replace with the new. Then reverse it.
