Hi guys

1. Please help me, i keep getting water under my passenger seat of 206, its not antifreeze and heater matrix is fine, i only get water when it rains and that too under passenger seat, but is it possible to figure out, where the water is coming from, i have checked and there are no visible leaks or any water that i can see dripping, but the carpet is always wet when it rains

2. i have also recently changed the spring around shock absorber on front left side, since its been changed i keep getting this wobbly feeling when i accelrate and turn right, could it be the case because 1 spring is new and other is old, steering wheel also feels tight and i tries to stay in centre postion for example when i turn left or right the steering while has the tendency to turn itself to centre very quickly

please help me guys,

i am really good at nothing

Check the window seals.

Have a friend use a hose on the car while you sit in the car & check for leaks.

Hi CD-vRS

i have tried this solution as well, i cannot see any leaks coming in the car or any drips coming in, but after 4-5 minutes of using a hose(putting the water on) the carpets gets wet.

Hi,
Not sure if this is applicable to 206's but I used to have a Ford Escort which started leaking inside. I changed all the rubber linings but it didnt stop. Eventually I realised it was the insulating sheets iside the door panels that I had cut to retrofit central locking and electric windows. Didnt realise that this insulation also prevents rain water getting into the car. Once this was changed it stopped leaking.

I had same problem on a Ford Cortina, but it was only getting wet when I drove anywhere. I got under the car and found the floorpan had come apart slightly and water was spraying up off the road and going into the seam. I tapped it back with a hammer and put some underseal on. Solved the problem. Don't know if any use but might help.

My guess is door membrane (behind the door cards).

Search the forum and there are several other posts about it. They either come unstuck or are damaged/removed when someone works on the car, fits speakers etc. You can re-stick them or make new ones yourself as they are not cheap to buy and are basically only a thick sheet of polythene.
