Just get a KandN/Green Cotton panel filter. They are much better.

Do you mean ECU?
You shouldnt have any problems it is a very common modification. I doubt you will need a remap either, unless you have a full stainless exhaust.

Very simple task but since I had my camera to hand I thought I'd take some pics.
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00926.jpg~original)
First off open the bonnet and the Airbox is in the bottom right corner.
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00928.jpg~original)
Undo the jubilee clip and screws (x4)
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00929.jpg~original)
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00930.jpg~original)
Lift off the cover and you can now see the old Air-filter, lift it up and out and replace with the new one.
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00931.jpg~original)
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00933.jpg~original)
Then replace the Airbox lid and re attach the hose with the jubilee clip.
![](http://i624.photobucket.com/albums/tt328/chris666d/How%20to%20Airfilter/DSC00937.jpg~original)
I also gave it a quick clean.
I've swapped a temporary cheap Halfords one for an K&N filter.
Makes a difference you can feel in my opinion. |
