Hi, the other day i fell over at work with my remote key in my pocket. After work i tried to unlock my doors but no joy. All the locks work fine when i use the key in the door. Took the key apart to inspect for damage but it all looks fine, then i changed the battery in it but still no luck. Ive tried following the re-programming post on here but im not getting it to work. Car is a 2005 gti 180 so i assume its multiplex re program that i should be following? Any ideas would be great, cheers

You may have damaged the transponder chip in the key.

Probly broke the print on the circuit board for the chip, if so it may be repairable depending if the board is layered or not.
The easiest option would be a new chip I'm afraid

The Transponder is not a board its a single chip if the transponda was broken the car would not start.
