If i was to buy other brand racing seats that you have stated above - "Sparco, OMP, Corbeau, Bride etc " - would i need to get different frames underneath the seat in order for them to fit or would my standard 206 ones allow them? Or be easily adjusted to allow them? and where is the "forsale" bit?

Sorry I just thought I'd get there first. When people ask for racing/bucket seats they usually want stiff from halfords to look cool in their 1.1's, but they feel horrible, look stupid and don't help in your car.
if this isn't the case then I have no idea about real good track seating.
If it is the case, then don't buy cheapy bucket seats, buy quality gti180 seats that are actually comfortable!
Ok just read your post. Definately go for 180 seats if you afford them! If not, then save up |
depends on your body size, weight etc, a set of high end recliners make 180 seats look and feel like s**t to be honest, buckets can be comfy dependant on brand and what you spend, but generally are abit stiff, if you honestly think the best car seats are something the french made then.... and yeah i have sat in them they are comfy but ive also sat in recaros and some nice corbreau ones which were better, and seen as 180 go for lke 500 as you want rears to match your not far off a set of brand new set of recliners

I've sat in a 180 seat before, did my back in, bloody awful seats, my leather sport seats are much more comfy.
Best seats i've ever sat in where in a Volvo, really good for the back

I have recaro's in mine now.I brought a pair of mint used Recaro seats (£220),new Recaro subframes (£180) and had the rears retrimmed (£100 inc cloth) to match for about £500 in all,the door cards i didn't get retrimmed as they matched very well !The Recaro seats have leg extentions that pull out and pump up up lumbar support for your back.Far more comfy than gti 180 seats too !
