thanks mate. will have to take another look at mine now see whats what. you can see no teeth or anything tho? think they are sealed away in the circular ends

have managed to sort it. have taking it aprt messing about for hours i decided to get the biggest pliiars i could find and take the black handle off and use the pillars instead which worked a treat. anyone else that is having this problem give this ago.
