Just noticed that the floor under the driver floormat is absolutely soaking wet. Put a dehumidifier in the car to try and dry it but does anyone have an idea where the water might be coming from. There is water pooring out the driver door when I open it after rain. If anyone could point me in a direction before I start taking the car apart, that would be very helpfull. I've heard of people having water in the passenger footwell when the heater matrix is leaking, but this is the driver footwell.

check the door seals. Maybe get someone to sit in the car and poor water over it and see where it leaks in?

Check the door seals and window seals. Check the insulation behind the doorcard is sealed to the door, and that the drain holes on the bottom of the door aren't blocked.

possibly heater matrix is leaking or one of he pipe leading to it, water can travel quite far when running along pipes etc

It seems to be a bit wet at the seal at the sill. The seal seems to be ok. I think I'll have a good look at the drain holes aren't blocked.
There I was changing the pollen filter hoping that it would solve the condensation in the car. Didn't realise I had a pool in my footwell.

yeah best check the easy and common things as suggested above, i done a few matrixes before and hey can leak quite bad, just a thought

just check your coolant level,that will tell you for sure if your matrix is the cause or not,if the level is good,then check the door seal as the guys said

Door membrane is my guess. People damage them when fitting speakers, or removed them altogether thinking its just a piece of useless plastic, or they just perish. Previous car I had (Golf) literally filled up with water first time I put a hose on it. All 4 doors needed doing, easy DIY job (you can make your own rather than buy the genuine ones). Any chance you could sit in car with someone running a hose on it.
As prev poster said, you'd notice coolant level down if your matrix was losing that much water.

Coolant level is normal and this is what I found when I removed the doorcard. No wonder there was water getting in. Top tip to dry the carpet: put an old towel over the wet area, cover in cat litter and a day later the carpet had gone from a small pool to just a bit damp. (the towel makes it easier to remove all the cat litter)
