If the ISO plugs are connected correctly with the adaptor if needed then the aftermarket stereo should be fine.

You will have to reboot the BSI or unplug then reconnect the multi function display to unfreeze it.

What size engine 206 is it?

Any petrol 1.6 or smaller & the 1.4 HDi use the MA gearbox, this was never designed for such large alloy wheels, fitting 17" on a MA box is like owning a hand grenade with the pin removed Laughing
its a 1.1 will the 16 inch nimrod wheels fit without any hassle do u think?

It's gotta be how it was installed, never heard of a aftermarket headunit making a car not start.

Its normally the blown fuse by careless installation that causes the non start problem Laughing
i nevr actually had the aftermarket stereo installed,as soon as the wires touched i took the stereo out and taped the wires up thinking idblown a fuse, then i went to go to the shop to et sum and it wudnt start, there was no stereo in when i tryed to start it

woah woah woah, my cars running 15's and i think they look pretty nice tbh.

As for the bsi, your lucky, unsure how the car wouldnt start after fitting another HU, must have plugged the wrong wires into the wrong place or something, not electrically minded in that way.

Quick question, is the HU brand new?

Yeah no probably's but be aware they are non standard to your car and you will need to inform insurance. Also the wheel arch gap will raise slightly and you will eventually want it lowered. Very Happy

I remember back in 2003 when the 180 first came out. A fair few people were slotting aftermarket stereos in them and the car wouldn't work afterwards...

If you were trying to start it without a radio attached, then it could be the reason why its wasn't starting, as circuits in the BSI weren't complete.
