Bad driver? So because the piston rings melt thats bad driving?
No mate thats because they are unreliable engines
Now please educate me on how many old fords there is on the road day compared to old peugeots?
Oh little fact on how good supposedly fords are, one old car pinto or something similar would explode in a rear impact
Ford would not pay 11$ to fix each car, so they put a price tag of £200k per life lost instead cause it was cheaper
Nice

Pick a car any car, Ford escort Mk1 Mk2 mexico/rs? Sierra cosworth, escort cosworth, awesome RS200, not forgetting the Mustang. Add to that the affordable stuff like the XR's and i think that makes Peugeots moody little offering of 205 GTI and 106 Rallye fade into insignificance.
Let me guess the car was a good few years old when the ring melted? Oh and what was the disigned horsepower of the engine.....
Dont get me wrong Fords are shocking, but only at worse, as shocking as peugeot.

Ford dont bother with galvanizing.
PSA Peugeot / Citroen worked out how to stop car's rusting away back in the 1980's

Lol they might not rust as much but bits fall off just as quick The 206 in the garage is no more sturdy than the escort i had years ago.
Whats the point in judging a manufacturer on a car thats 10 years old or more! christ it should have been scrapped years back! Ford make better driving cars than Peugeot, it's just a fact.
Although it is interesting that such a 'unreliable' engine is being used in modified cars. Where do they use peugeot engines then?

OOOOh so it was a new ford engine and gearbox that was in it.....hang on no, it was a rebuilt one. Any clown could have played with it. The only time you can judge a car is if it's original. Once you mess around with it then anything could happen.

Wrong on pretty much every count there. I dont own a Ford but unlike a certain individual i'm not single minded enough not to be able to appreciate and evaluate things i don't have! Of course what i have said is only opinion, however it is an opinion shared by many, Just check the major motoring magazines, i'm sure you will see they rate fords pretty highly. In fact just compare how many fords have won car of the year compared to peugeot. Like i have said, it's only my opinion....oh, no wait it's pretty much the entire motoring press' opinion too.

Want to go stick your d**k up an escorts tail pipe already. f*****g hell your bumming them a bit.
Ford has built some of the most common engines in the world, the reason you see them is because they are good engines. Cosworths arn't ford now are they really, Cosworth is its own entity, it just so happened to be put in a few ford's and now scooby are following that. Kent and Pinto engines are around in the hundred thousands still and they are f*****g horse and cart technology era.
The cars however were a bit w**k back in the day, only ever had 2 uses. Showing off before it turned into metal cancer, and motorsport. Some iconic stuff though.
Peugeot however havn't gone far of the mark. Successful in both the consumer and motorsport market, with some iconic cars as well.
Now, can we just agree that both peugeot and ford are s**te and we should have all stuck to pedal bikes.
