youve just changed the language. press one button to bring up the language setting then press the other to change

Press and hold the left button and the first menu to start flashing should be language, press the right button to scroll though the options. IIRC.
You can also select kmh instead on mph for your trip and fuel economy cycles as well as change the clock from 12 to 24hour. once you have the right option keep pressing the left button until your back to the normal time display.

preplexed display like this doesnt have trip
