Yeah she likes pumas too but i think fords attitude to chassis rust has put her off buying another!

What's the diff. Between an SE and an allure then? We saw a 1.6 allure but it didn't have digi aircon Sad

hmmm so it seems that allure does come with digicon. so some people are lying? lol

www.autotrader.co.uk/s...t/priceasc

the first two on that list have standard aircon! (I specified allure)

infact, if I search for her wanted colours; black
www.autotrader.co.uk/s...ion/manual
or red
www.autotrader.co.uk/s...t/priceasc

none visibly has digicon!

oh and I specified 60k miles or less.
Do you think thats an ideal amount for a 206? mine is at 50k now, and my old one was 14k Rolling On The Floor Laughing

her ka right now is around 60k

looking at her confused quotes, it seems to vary between £900 and £2000. yaris's hitting £700-£900 (think mostly 1.4) copens are hitting £1k

I just looked and a 2.0 cc quote is more than my 180?! (£1800)

her car now is £600

yeah there's a few with sp kits, and a couple with vortex's Smile I doubt she cares, but I'll be advising her to get them! lol.

But who buys a CC to go fast??? The EW10 engine is perfectly gutsy to pull the CC along nicely.

yeah shes not worried about the speed, but she wants the fully spec'd version in black or red, so it looks like she has to buy the 2.0 for that? Sad

I just find it silly that her insurance would be more on a 138CC than a 180!

I have a 2.0 cc SE. I drove a few 206 hatches and my cc handles better than the lot of them. (never driven a 180 tho Laughing ) The turn in is comparable to my ol 2.2VTEC import prelude which had 4 wheel steer. Me and my mate have always had hot hondas and although not as quick the torque of the 2l lump if impressive.
My mate even thought mine handled better than his 5th gen motegi so i have no idea why people would say the handling is off. Which the roof down tho there is a lot more flex as you would expect.
I've had a 180bhp derv ibiza FR, a 170bhp Civic VTiS and a 205bhp import prelude (spoon chipped to red line a 9.5k Twisted Evil ) And to step down to the CC and still have fun in it must say something.

If you can try and stretch to the 2.0 you wont regret it.

An are they really that girly??! Crying or Very sad

Such as a 1.1 hatch?
There's no way a heavy CC with softer suspension than a GTi would handle better.

A friend of mine used to have a GTi 138 and i drove a couple of smaller engined ones yes.
I have never driven a 180 GTi so cannot compare on that. but the suspension parts on the 2.0 cc are the same as the GTi 138 in most cases. That coupled with the improved chassis rigidity put in place as it's a convertible compensates nicely for the extra weight.

IMO Like I say i know what i have driven previously and this is by no means a let down. Perhaps is depends on driving style lol

The 2.0 CC uses smaller anti roll bars to avoid highlighting the lack of torsional rigidity. The extra bracing underneath the car definately does not make up for the lack of roof.

Just to show how floppy the 206CC is the 207CC is 40 per cent stiffer when the roof is up and 46 per cent stiffer when down. You can still feel the scuttle shake in the 207 with the roof down so that shows how flexible the 206CC is.
