I'm going to be shopping around for prices soon for cambelt and clutch, how much should i be looking at for the items (ie clutch and cam bet) and labour to fit them as i won't be doing it myself. I don't want a fancy clutch as i don't race.
206 GTI, Ram air filter, lowered 35mm front, 50mm rear, Scorpion 3.5" Back box, phase 2 boot strip, m3 rear lights.. Not much more i want to do, just sorting the paint work out!

Somewhere around the £250 - £300 for the clutch and fitting really IIRC. Don't know about the cambelt though, sorry

Whats the year of the pug? Has it ever had a cam belt, if not it will need doing and you will most probably be looking at about £250 to £400

i got an 03 206 gti and had the cam belt and water pump changed for 230 quid, so i guess you'll be looking at a similar price.

Seems ok but more pricey than I was hoping. Sad I need my one doing too. mine 206 is a 2002 with only just 50k. The manual says 80k or 8 years so I'm a year overdue. That price doesn't include a new water pump though. If you get the cam belt done you want the water pump changed at the same time even if its ok. The reason being that it's exactly the same job labour wise which is where the cost comes in. Cambelt kits and tensioners can be picked up for around 80 quid IIRC on eurocarparts. and thats not even trade price. The money is paying for the mechanic to do the work.
